Our Story

Hellosaurus is an interactive video platform for children aged 2 to 8. It runs as an iOS app, sold by subscription. Children join the story by tapping the screen, speaking into the microphone or using the camera.

How it began

  1. 2019
    Hellosaurus was founded in New York, NY.
  2. 2020
    Hellosaurus joined Y Combinator (S20) and raised $3.5 million in a round led by General Catalyst.
  3. Collaborations
    Hellosaurus has worked with The Wiggles and the Children's Museum of the Arts in New York.
  4. 2022
    Hellosaurus was acquired by Brilliant.

What this site is

This site is a parent hub for Hellosaurus: a Session Planner, a Story Match quiz, games, guides and AI helpers that turn a story theme into questions, play ideas and a calm-down routine. The tools are free, and all your plans and results stay in your own browser.
